Jodie Foster - 1962

Jodie Foster was born Alicia Christian Foster (she was later nicknamed "Jodie") in Los Angeles, California, on November 19, 1962. The daughter of Evelyn "Brandy" Ella and Lucius Fisher Foster III, Foster is the youngest of four children. The future Academy Award winner began her acting career at the tender age of 3, with a role as the Coppertone Girl in a television commercial for the iconic brand of suntan lotion.

In April 2014, Foster married her girlfriend Alexandra Hedison, an American photographer and actress, in a private weekend ceremony. The couple began dating in October 2013. Hedison previously dated Ellen DeGeneres for three years before splitting in 2004.
Foster has two sons: Charles "Charlie" Foster (born 1998) and Christopher "Kit" Foster (born 2001).Foster acknowledged coming out in a speech at the 70th Golden Globe Awards,and many news outlets afterwards described her as lesbian or gay, although some sources noted that Foster did not use the words gay or lesbian in her speech. Foster broke up with her long-time partner, movie producer Cydney Bernard, in 2008. They had been together since 1993. Foster also thanked Mel Gibson as one of the people who "saved" her. In April 2014, Foster married actress and photographer Alexandra Hedison.
Foster is an atheist. She has stated she has "great respect for all religions" and spends "a lot of time studying divine texts, whether it's Eastern religion or Western religion." She and her children celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah.
